SpaceX’s statement said the adverse weather conditions on the Florida coast were unfavorable for a return.

The statement said the earliest date for the Dragon capsule to depart from the International Space Station is Tuesday, February 6.

Minister Kacır: We will wait a while to welcome Gezeravcı

Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır also made the following statement on the matter:

“Due to the weather in the landing area, there will be a little longer wait for the Ax-3 team, including our astronaut Alper Gezeravcı, to return to Earth. The return plan was postponed for another day. The next opportunity to depart is February 6th at 5:00 p.m. (Turkish time). World “The arrival time is February 7th at 02:25 (Turkish time). After leaving the ISS, it will take about 9 hours and 25 minutes to reach Earth. Weather conditions will be reassessed tomorrow and a decision will be made for return planning.”

The journey is expected to take 13 hours

The journey of astronaut Gezeravcı and the team is expected to last about 13 hours.

The capsule carrying the team will land at one of seven possible points in the Atlantic Ocean and the western Gulf of Mexico. After the capsule lands on the water, the astronauts are brought on board and their first examination is carried out there.

The team is taken from the ship to the airport by helicopter and then by plane to Houston.

Doctors on the plane will also conduct general examinations of the astronauts during this flight.

The astronauts will undergo a comprehensive health examination in Houston and remain in quarantine for a period of time.
