Helicopters provide services in many areas from search and rescue to logistics, from transportation to reconnaissance and surveillance, and offer superior advantages as today’s essential aircraft. Given the unique roles and missions of helicopters, the importance of technical activities in both the operational and design phases is increasing day by day. In this context, students acquire the ability to develop conceptual design phases by identifying the operational requirements of the helicopter system in the helicopter design competition organized by TAI as part of the TEKNOFEST technology competitions.
The Helicopter Design Competition expects participants to develop a conceptual design of a rotorcraft or aircraft system capable of vertical flight and operational capabilities to meet passenger and/or cargo transportation needs over the next 20 to 40 years. Participants will also be asked to create a business plan for the company that includes the final design, manufacturing, marketing and service of the vehicle they design.
Students and master’s students as well as university graduates can take part in the competition individually or as a team. In this privileged competition that pushes the boundaries of your design imagination, the first prize was set at 100,000 TL, the second prize at 80,000 TL and the third prize at 60,000 TL.
The application deadline for the competitions ends on February 20th
