TEKNOFEST, the first of which was held in 2018, is being held for the 7th time in the country this year and the 8th in total.
It is carried out with 125 institutions, including ministries, presidencies, public and private sector organizations, academic institutions and media companies, which play a critical role in Turkey’s national technology ecosystem, under the execution of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
TEKNOFEST Ankara, which embraces and brings together millions with the vision of “National Technology Move” for a fully independent Turkey, carries enthusiasm and excitement to the skies again.
The official ceremony of the event, which opened its doors to its fans starting from 09.00 today, will be held at 14.30 with the “Rafadan Crew Technological Crew”, “Hürkuş ve Gökbey Musical” and “Tuluyhan Uğurlu Concert”.
On the first day, participants will have the opportunity to experience many activities from vertical wind tunnel to sun observation, from space-themed playground to simulation experiences, and to participate in educational workshops.
Youngsters will compete
“Agricultural Technologies”, “Transportation and Mobility Technologies”, “Communication and Communication Technologies”, “Space, Aviation and Defense Technologies”, “Education Technologies” and “Disaster Management Technologies” competitions are among the events to be held on the first day.
The Experiment Card Robolig Competition, which is organized to expand the project portfolio of the locally developed Experiment Card and to bring the project productivity together with high technology enthusiasts, will be held for the first time at TEKNOFEST Ankara.
Within the scope of TEKNOFEST Entrepreneurship Competition, a total of more than 7 million liras will be awarded, and a total of 270 thousand liras will be awarded within the scope of the Experiment Card Robolig Competition.
All eyes will be on the sky
This year, everyone’s eyes will be on high with the air shows, which are a classic of TEKNOFEST. Turkish Stars, Solo Türk, HÜRKUŞ, GÖKBEY, AKSUNGUR, Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar TB3, Gendarmerie Steel Wings, Akıncı, Atak Helicopter and Anka will perform in the skies of TEKNOFEST throughout the event.
On the first day of the festival, F-16 Solotürk, Bayraktar Akıncı, Aksungur, Anka, Bayraktar TB2, Gökbey, Hürkuş, S-70 (Steel Wings), BEL-429 (EGM), Paramotor, Gyrocopter, T-129 Atak Helicopter, S-70 (Grape Bunch), CN-235 MI-17 (Parachute Jump), First Flight Event with Students, S-70 BEL-429 (Greeting Pass) and AB-412 (Injured Evacuation) air shows.
The second stop of the festival in the 100th anniversary of the Republic, the capital city of Ankara, is waiting for its enthusiasts at Ankara Etimesgut Airport until 3 September.
Booth events meet young people
There are also promotional and event stands at TEKNOFEST Ankara. A total of 261 stands, including 103 stakeholder institutions and 16 sponsors, 90 companies from 11 sectors, and 131 participating companies, including 41 food court participants, take part in the festival, which was established on an area of 215 thousand square meters.
Young people will be able to follow more than 400 events to be held at the stands.
