TEKNOFEST was held at Etimesgut Airport on August 30-September 3, with the global communication partnership of Anadolu Agency (AA) for the 8th time, under the leadership of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3) and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
The festival was realized with 125 institutions, including ministries, presidencies, public and private sector institutions, academic institutions and media companies, which play a critical role in Turkey’s national technology ecosystem.
The festival, which started with musicals and concerts on the first day, hosted many activities on other days. Many activities were held during the festival, from vertical wind tunnel to sun observation, from space-themed playground to simulation. Singer Mazhar Alanson also met with his fans as part of TEKNOFEST.
The best startup awards found their owners at TEKNOFEST
The Experiment Card Robolig Contest, which was organized to expand the project portfolio of the locally developed Experiment Card and to bring the project productivity together with high technology enthusiasts, was held for the first time at TEKNOFEST Ankara.
Within the scope of TEKNOFEST Enterprise Competition, a total of more than 7 million TL was awarded, and a total of 270 thousand TL was awarded within the scope of the Experiment Card Robolig Contest.
“Agricultural Technologies”, “Transportation and Mobility Technologies”, “Communication and Communication Technologies”, “Space, Aviation and Defense Technologies”, “Education Technologies” and “Disaster Management Technologies” competitions were also among the events. In the competitions organized for the first time in the field of entrepreneurship, the awards were given to the best startups by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Erdoğan’s wife Emine Erdoğan, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Haluk Görgün, President of the Presidency of Defense Industries, and Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the T3 Foundation Board of Trustees.
Events attracted great interest
TEKNOFEST Ankara, which embraced and brought together millions with the vision of “National Technology Move” for a fully independent Turkey, once again carried the enthusiasm and excitement to the skies. Turkish Stars, SOLOTÜRK, HÜRKUŞ, GÖKBEY, AKSUNGUR, Bayraktar TB2, Gendarmerie Steel Wings, Akıncı, ATAK Helicopter and ANKA demonstrated during the event.
Promotion and event stands took place at TEKNOFEST Ankara. Citizens, who participated in competitions and events according to their interests, had fun moments.
The little ones were hosted with the quiz show. Here, thanks to green screen technology, citizens had the opportunity to take pictures like war correspondents.
The festival, which lasted for 5 days, was visited by many prominent names from the world of economy, politics and business.
In the festival area; Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Minister of Justice Yılmaz Tunç, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş were also present.
On the other hand, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, who was expected to attend the closing ceremony held on the last day, could not attend the ceremony due to the heavy downpour.
